The Mudman Method
Make your first wild concrete pot this weekend.
No kiln. No wheel. No pottery experience. I’ll show you the sand-casting process behind my textured Mudman pots, and how to do it on purpose.
Presale price · Beginner friendly · Hardware-store materials
Full course opens June 21. $147 goes up at launch.
12 founding students already in. The first crew is forming before the June 21 launch.
The easiest way to craft wild, organic pots.
What changes
Put your fingerprint on your collection.
You stop only buying wild pots and start making pieces with your own hands.
The goal is not to copy my pots. It is to learn the method well enough to make something that belongs in your world.
A pot becomes part of a living collection.
Examples
The method behind the pieces.
You are not copying these exact forms. You are learning the sand-casting method behind them — how texture, chance, and your hands work together.

Figuring it out alone vs. The Mudman Method
| Figuring it out alone | The Mudman Method | |
|---|---|---|
| The path | 30 tabs open, conflicting advice | One method, start to finish |
| The texture | Flat, generic, never quite right | Wild, organic, yours |
| Materials | Bags of concrete sitting in the garage | Exact kit. Nothing wasted. |
| The result | “Close, but not like his” | “I can’t believe I made this” |
| Time | Weeks of trial and error | One weekend |
| Cracks | You’re on your own | Troubleshooting built in |

Story
How I got here.
Every pot started in a 157 sqft boiler room I called the Cave.
Before that I was a software engineer. My creativity went dormant. Then I grabbed two buckets and some concrete. The first pot was rough, but something woke up.
I committed to a pot a day for 50 days. Somewhere in the middle, I sold my first one to a guy in Arizona. The next day I lost my engineering job.
About 150 pots in, I found sand-casting: fewer tools, simpler setup, wilder texture. This course is what I learned from my first pour to the pieces I make now.
This is for you if...
- You collect cacti, succulents, or plants
- You’ve wondered how my pots are made
- You’ve never worked with concrete
- You want your own fingerprint in your collection
This is not for everyone.
- If you don’t want to get your hands dirty
- If you need perfection on the first try
- If you think creativity is for other people
This is play. This is dirt under your fingernails.

Do I need pottery experience?
No. This isn’t wheel throwing or ceramics. If you can mix pancake batter, you can do this.
Do I need a kiln?
No. This is concrete and sand-casting. No kiln, no wheel, no studio.
What do I need to buy?
Cement All, play sand, buckets, gloves, mask, and a few basic tools. I give you the exact list.
Can I do this in an apartment, garage, or backyard?
Yes. You need a small messy work area, ventilation for dust, and a sane cleanup plan.
How long does it take?
Less than two hours hands-on. The concrete cures overnight. Plan for a weekend.
Will my first pot look like yours?
Probably not exactly. That’s the point. I teach the process so you can find your own forms and textures.
Is this for selling pots?
It can be, but the course is mainly about learning the method and making your first real pieces.
Is this available outside the US?
Yes. The course is digital, and RapidSet CementAll is available in the UK through suppliers like Smartfloor UK and Speedcrete. If you’re outside the US, use the material list as a guide and check local suppliers before you buy.
When does it launch?
The full Mudman Method opens June 21 — the first day of summer. Presale buyers get access when it opens.
